There are 20 acres of Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Plantation. This Tea Tree provides the best oil in the world of the highest standard. The income from the oil is $20,000 per year dependant on how hard you want to work. If you don't want to harvest and distill you could always employ a contractor to do the work for you and then just put your hand out for the cheque. Income is also available from the Tea Tree mulch after harvest and is sought after by the gardening industry.
The township of Rosedale which has a shop, PO, hardware, garage, pre, primary and high school is approximately 14 kms away. Postal service is 5 days a week. The City of Bundaberg is only 50 minutes away.
